Mary Elizabeth Cardin, 84, died December 18, 2000, in Oklahoma City. Graveside services were held December 21, 2000, at Rose Hill Burial Park.

Mary Elizabeth Howland Cardin was born June 8, 1916, in Oklahoma City to August Stanley Howland and Elizabeth Howland. She married Byrl Harry Cardin on January 24, 1942. They were married 56 years before his death in 1998.

She attended Oklahoma City University, worked for Travelers Insurance Company during World War II and worked with her husband in his accounting practice for over 40 years until his retirement. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the P.E.O. Sisterhood.

She is survived by her son Paul Cardin and his wife Barbara, her grandson James P. Cardin, all of Oklahoma City, her nephew Mark Casey of Kansas City and her nephew Tom Williams of Accokeek, Maryland.
